Bitahaco was established in 1993 through the merger of economic units in District 6 to meet the management and operational requirements of the new era. Initially, the company was named Binh Tay Small Industry and Handicraft Production Service Company, a state-owned enterprise with the international trade name Binh Tay Small Industry and Handicraft Production Service Company. In 2005, in accordance with the policy of privatizing state-owned enterprises, Bitahaco was transformed into a joint-stock company – a subsidiary of Saigon Trading Corporation.

Currently, Binh Tay Import-Export Production Service Joint Stock Company primarily operates in trade and services with over 25 locations and major domestic partners, committed to providing comprehensive trade solutions, building a transparent and professional trading environment – ​​promoting healthy and efficient trade.

History of formation

  • 1978

    Binh Tay Small In-dustry and Handicraft Production Service Company is a state-owned enterprise, its English trade name is BinhTay Small In-dustry and Handicraft Production Service Company, abbreviated as Bitahaco. Its predecessor was the District 6 General Supply Enterprise, established by Decision No. 50/QD-UB dated April 8, 1978, of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Decision No. 212/QD-UB dated April 15, 1978, of the People’s Committee of District 6, and officially commenced operations on April 25, 1978.

  • 1991

    The company is authorized to conduct direct import and export business with foreign countries according to Decision No. 102/QD-UB dated March 30, 1991, and the import and export business license issued by the Ministry of Trade.

  • 1995

    The company was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal, “For outstanding achievements in work and business from 1990-1994, contributing to the cause of national construction and defense.”

  • 1998

    To commemorate the company’s 20th anniversary, a commemorative flag was presented.

  • 2005

    The state-owned enterprise was transformed into a joint-stock company with a charter capital of twenty-six billion four hundred million dong.

  • Currently

    It is currently operating as a joint-stock company under the name Binh Tay Import-Export Production Services Joint Stock Company, with 40% of its capital owned by a state-owned enterprise (Saigon Trading Corporation Limited).
